Part 3- Windows 7



Using your Windows 7 Virutal Machine and converting to full install:

1. Go to your windows/inf folder
2. Find these files:
--usb.inf
--usbport.inf
--usbstor.inf

3. Add these lines to the bottom of the files (use ctrl+end to navigate to the bottom):
[*.AddService] StartType = 0
LoadOrderGroup = boot bus extender


4. Regedit
a. go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services

b.you will edit the following:
-usbccgp
-usbehci
-usbhub
-usbuhci
-usbohci
-usbstor (You will need to create a new string value and name it group)

c. Change
-Start: 0
-Group: Boot Bus Extender

5.Hit ctrl+f and search for apg440.sys and export then delete the key

6. Close Regedit

7. Press START -> Shutdown **THIS STEP IS IMPORTANT**

8. Power Down your Virtual Machine

9. Close VMWare and shutdown your computer

10. On your second computer, change the active partition to windows 7 partition using the windows Disk Management tool or a third party disk management tool

11. Hit search and find apg440.sys on your usb flash/hard drive and delete it

12. boot up windows 7 on the installed computer and delete the xp partition
